1949-1985 Dependencies Ordinances

In this period, and following the publication and coming into force of the 1951 Consolidation, the Governor was empowered to enact Ordinances and Regulations solely for the Dependencies.

Not including the ACLOs there were 16 such Ordinances and Regulations enacted in this period. They were:

With the exception of the Placenames Ordinance 1956 and its regulations and the continued application of Application of Colony Laws (Amendment and Validation) Ordinance 1966 to Falkland Islands Ordinances and Regulations applied in the Dependencies in this period all of the other Ordinances and Regulations in the list are either spent or repealed.
